puglia

an ode to leisure

October 1 -   5   |    2026

Join us for a slow, sensory immersion in the enchanting southern coastline of Salento.

where leisure takes center stage

Our coastal retreat unfolds in a rhythm of unhurried days— filled with embodied movement, abundant seasonal meals, and gentle wandering through sun-bleached villages along the edge of the sea.

Life here is simple, textured, and deeply nourishing. Mornings begin with a lush movement practice, followed by long, open afternoons spent by the pool, beneath olive trees, or drifting through nearby coastal towns. There is time for everything, and nothing at all.

We move with the land as our guide— tasting fresh olive oil pressed nearby, gathering seasonal fruit from the trees, and sharing meals that celebrate the richness of southern Italian living. Even the smallest moments become rituals: barefoot walks, salt on the skin, warm bread, late light.

This is an invitation to slow down enough to truly receive— to savour the beauty of presence, the pleasure of simplicity, and the quiet nourishment of being held by land, sea, and community.

the practices—

Each day begins in gentle alignment with the rhythm of the sun, moving through a creatively sequenced vinyasa practice designed to awaken and energise the body. These morning practices are intuitive and intelligently guided, offering space for both strength and softness, and can be adapted to meet the needs of every body.

As the day unfolds, the pace naturally softens. Afternoons are left open for rest, wandering, swimming, journaling, or simply being— allowing time to stretch without structure or expectation.

Alongside this spaciousness, we offer a curated selection of afternoon experiences to deepen your time in residence. These may include yin yoga, breathwork, sound healing, creative workshops, and gentle explorations of the surrounding coastline and villages— each one designed as an invitation rather than an itinerary.

The rhythm of the retreat is intentionally fluid: movement and stillness, connection and solitude, practice and presence— all held within a slow, restorative cadence of days.

the food—

At the heart of the retreat is the joy of gathering around the table— long, unhurried meals that mark the rhythm of each day.

Our Italian chef team prepares vibrant, seasonal dishes inspired by traditional Mediterranean cooking, drawing on the richness of both Italian and French culinary heritage. Every meal is created with deep care and simplicity, honouring local ingredients at their peak and the timeless rituals of southern Italian food culture.

There is a grounding presence to the way we eat here. Freshly prepared vegetarian dishes, abundant flavours, and shared tables invite a slower kind of nourishment— where food becomes both sustenance and experience.

Meals are seasonal, locally sourced, and designed to reflect the land we are immersed in: sun-ripened, generous, and full of life.

the location—

With its sun-bleached stone towns, ancient olive groves, and dramatic meeting of two seas, Salento is one of Italy’s most soulful and unspoiled southern regions. Tucked into the very tip of Puglia— the “heel” of Italy’s boot— it carries the layered echoes of Greek, North African, and Mediterranean influence, creating a cultural texture that feels both ancient and alive.

Here, the land narrows and the sea becomes ever-present. Horizons open wide, light feels softer, and life naturally slows to the rhythm of wind, water, and sun. Days are spent moving between crystalline coves, wandering quiet coastal villages, and lingering over long meals shaped by the simplicity of southern Italian cooking.

Our home is set on the southernmost coastline of Puglia, in Santa Maria di Leuca, where the Adriatic and Ionian seas harmoniously meet. This is a landscape of edges— of land, of light, of continent— and it holds a rare sense of spaciousness that invites you to step fully out of time.

the venue—

At the heart of the Otranto Protected Natural Park, facing the Adriatic Sea, sits our home for the retreat— Villa Acquamarina. More than a place to stay, it feels like a portal into the soul of Puglia; a fully restored coastal estate at the very southern tip of the region, where history, beauty, and the quiet imprint of generations past are still deeply felt.

Woman-owned and thoughtfully envisioned, the villa is cared for and run by an incredible local team led by Augustine, whose family has stewarded this land for years. Surrounded by ancient olive groves, lush gardens, and open sky. Just five minutes from the seaside village of Santa Maria di Leuca, it holds both seclusion and connection to coastal life.

The villa unfolds across a collection of seven bedrooms. The guest accommodation includes three shared twin rooms (six spaces total) and two private single rooms, offering a gentle balance between community and solitude depending on how you feel called to rest.

Each room has its own en-suite bathroom and private entrance, creating the feeling of an intimate, privately run seaside hotel— discreet, spacious, and quietly self-contained.

Inside, the aesthetic is intentionally understated: soft natural textures, muted tones, and simple Italian design that allows light, air, and landscape to lead. Nothing is overstated; everything is considered.

Beyond the rooms, life flows effortlessly into terraces, sea views, and olive trees. Days unfold slowly here— morning light across stone, swims between long meals, and evenings dissolving into warm coastal air.

the weather—

Early October in Puglia is pure magic. The air is fragrant with salt water, olives sit ripe on the trees, waiting for harvest and the Mediterranean sun casts a golden glow over rolling hills. Days are warm and inviting, perfect for lounging by the pool, while evenings bring a soft, balmy breeze—just cool enough to wrap yourself in a light sweater as we gather for dinner under the stars.

Though days tend to be filled with sunshine, nature is unpredictable, and a passing autumn shower is always possible. We love to see it as an invitation to surrender, a chance to get cozy in the sauna, or indulge in a mid day nap. But more often than not, we’ll be basking in sunshine, soaking in the warmth, and reveling in the beauty of the season.

the vibe—

Sirena is not your typical yoga holiday— it’s a reclamation of slow, intentional living. Our retreats are carefully curated spaces where you can step out of the rush of daily life and reconnect with what feels true, raw, and real.

We embrace slow travel, deep rest, belly laughs, tears that cleanse, sisterhood that holds, and experiences that awaken the wildest parts of ourselves. We believe in taking the road less traveled, in wandering off the beaten path, in attuning ourselves to the rhythms of nature and the whispers of our own intuition.

Sirena is for the woman who can let her hair down, surrender to the unknown, and trust in the beauty of the unfolding moment. If you crave structure and predictability, this may not be the retreat for you. But if you long for freedom, depth, and connection— this is your invitation.

Here, we move slowly. We savor the simple pleasures. We breathe in beauty. And we let ourselves be.
